  • How Much Warez do you download everyday?

i live in Leb, if i want, i get more than 8 Gb / day. but that's just me :) (and no, i dont work for any ISP or Gov organisation)

I have had a newsgroup account for the last 7 years, terranet never blocked or throttled my downloads from the news groups so far. However, My newsgroup offers http and nntp using many ports and SSL, i prefer http. Good luck.
You would still get shaped if you violate their fair usage police, right?
yes terranet shapes my speed after 12 nightly gigs, their meter sucks too it isn't accurate, i still can download more than 35 gigs a month according to my meter, their meter reads like 50 gigs, don't know why.

so its not that they shutdown my connection, but they shutdown torrent connections. i dont know if its just torrents or p2p alltogether, which is why i am trying newsgroup warez.

hey man what newsgroup provider do you use? i am using giganews now. I was able to download full throttle starting 2am exactly (110KB\s constant)
from 11 to 2 it was around 40KB\s average (which is seriously not bad)

On a side note when SSL is turned off download speed shrinks the same as torrents (becomes 2KB\s) but when SSL is on i get 100KB\s which goes down to 10KB\s and heik it keeps playing till 2am.

im using newsleecher the speed monitor shows it all pretty acceptable results.
Before today i had no idea what newsgroup was now im into a whole different source of warez :P

but im not sure 13$ a month is worth it coz a rapidshare account is 8$ a month and rapidshare has a great variety of files as well...
I use easynews, it is pretty good, they have many HTTP connections, many routes, they are basically their own ISP. I never use a news reader because i hate them, they have a monthly limit on HTTP but unlimited NNTP for their valued costumers. I my speed varies, but i tested the same speed via secured and unsecured connections, it doesn't matter on htttp. The cool this is that if terranet decides to block port 80 for some reason, the news groups have other ports u can use to download. But giganews is the best around.
I used to get about 1.2 - 1.3 GB per night with my IDM's 256k (512 at night) but that was months ago, now I am not even downloading after eleven because I know it is crappy, I download all my stuff at work.
here in venezuela i usually download around 16gb to 25gb per month.
recently got a rapidshare account.
im downloading 2gb a night again
from 11 to 2-->rapidshare max speed
from 2 to 4-->newsgroup max speed
from 4 to 7-->torrentleech max speed

made a program to synchronize the 3, pulled off 2.2 GB last night. 2 GB so far tonight.

but rapidshare is enough to get what i want except torrentleech has more recent stuff (as soon as it gets out)
newsgroup and rapidshare is just redundant but what the heck i already paid a dollar might as well ride out the 14 days :P
and i like newsleecher its a cool newsgroup client.

man tv series and movies its way cheaper then renting and way faster than waiting for it to become rental.

and i still get them a day or 2 earlier than those dvd places can...

i dont watch TV at home (im not a slave to regular programming :P)

Yes it is available, but people prefer not to buy them because they are considered expensive compared to the 10$ they can pay for illegal cable tv.
