PayPal Work-around?

Hey guys,

A while ago Maya Zankoul posted a sarcastic comment about PayPal in Lebanon, so nuclearcat and me commented on it. A few minutes ago Maya replied and said the following:

well if you go to the RapidShare official resellers list page ( http://rapidshare.com/resellers.html?product=1&accountid= ) and select Lebanon, you see the site on the list.. so i think probably it's trusted.

it's too bad they can't put some PaySafeCard stores in Lebanon :/

Yeah I've seen this website before but it does not satisfy my needs. I need a PayPal account to purchase stuff, send, and receive money.

I went ahead and asked Maya whether she actually tried it and here's what she said:

BTW, anyone knows how to get a POS credit device (like the ones in restaurants and shops where they slide your card and then debit and you sign a bill)... with an authorisation to debit money without signature? THis way you can charge people online.

Ive bought twice rapidshare accounts from these people... i did it by credit card (internet card)... it was fine for me

No, not really. But I've contacted MoneyBookers and found out that it's more of a legal issue (due to the fact that Lebanon has not yet approved the e-Transactions law draft). I've posted the message I've sent their reply here.

I bought my rapidshare account from them and i have been extending it for 5 months now and their service is great for that so i guess for paypal service it would be good ..

I tried it a year ago to pay for a hosting service, i opened the account and edited it then they payed the sum of money required even before I sent them the money by western union. Highly trustable and fast acting :)
I would definitly recommend them.

Using a service called Entropay which is associated with Visa. Basically you link your card with them (with your sensitive data hidden), creating a virtual card that you use on Paypal and other services.

PS. Strange name, Entropay. Entropy? not exactly positive.
