On a more serious note, it's pretty cool; maybe let the user configure the sensitivity of the the moving pad?
Pretty funny. I actually would love seeing someone porting it to HTML5. Though won't go through the trouble myself, already overloaded with a lot of annoyances. I am sure the flash version is a lot more cleaner, even with all the elegance that canvas can afford. Still, it's not a troll by an means.
As for sensitivity, from a game design point of view, giving options to the user gives him a psychological death march spree. Who would want to tweek options, and all sense of fairness maybe lost as well.
That's why feedback would make this game a lot better playability wise. Control is basically fed into a 'low pass filter' that smoothes the response of the paddle. Additionally some physics are applied to the paddle itself (air resistance like friction, and ground like friction (second order and first order)).
Let them rip.
As for the adruino bit, I am sure this version of the game will help give me an idea of what is best to be deployed on that tv of yours. Debugging will be hell am sure.
