But there is a difference between defending against a physical attacker, and in this case, assaulting a person who is exercising their right to free speech. Would you agree?

And this is the root of the problem in the video. Tolerance and respect are different things. You don't have to respect someone to tolerate them.
Respect is earned, not assumed.
Tolerance? It is necessary for people to practise their rights freely.
