Call of Duty creators and Modern Warfare developer Infinity Ward shrinks again today, as more key talent behind the billion first-person shooter franchise jumps ship. Sources close to the studio tell Kotaku of four new departures from the troubled developer.

A pair of Modern Warfare 2's lead designers, Steve Fukuda and Zied Reike, are said to have left the Encino-based Infinity Ward today. Fukuda joined the studio in January 2002, according to his LinkedIn profile, after leaving 2015, Inc., the developer of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and former home of Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vince Zampella. Rieke had also been with Infinity Ward since the formation of the studio.

Both Fukuda and Rieke were listed in the Writers Guild of America award nomination for Modern Warfare 2's story, a group that also includes former IW staffers Todd Alderman, Mackey McCandlish and Jason West.

According to those same sources, programmer Rayme Vinson and lead artist Chris Cherubini have also left the studio. When reached via e-mail, Cherubini confirmed to Kotaku that he had resigned today.

Yesterday, we learned that more longtime Infinity Ward employees left the developer, the same day that former studio heads Jason West and Vince Zampella announced their new venture Respawn Entertainment.

Activision claims that West and Zampella were delaying pre-production on Modern Warfare 3 seem like the least of the franchise's problems right now.
We talked about that in the playstation 3 thread.

They are going to court to get the Modern Warfare License to produce games under that name (Zampella and West)
But Activision is also going to court against them because Zampella and West have breached their contract by going on a secret meeting with EA employees.
MegaCool wroteInfinity Ward = Epic Fail
No, IW is just a studio under Activision.
Activision is the Epic fail for firing and suing these talented people.
i hope everything fails for them and i hope no MW3 comes out ever...
iam playing MW2 now and as much as it is fun, i wish i bought something else with the money. i think, unconsiously, the only reason i and thousands like me bought MW2 in the first place is because of the past successes of CODMW.

btw, is it really confirmed that those people met with EA??? now that would be epic.
Why EA?!
Now when the come out with a good new game that has multiplayer online I won't be able to play because fucking EA online servers won't let me play because of the age restrictions.
Hamboza wrotebtw, is it really confirmed that those people met with EA??? now that would be epic.
Respawn entertainment is under EA's wing so i can guess its confirmed that Zampella and the other IW had enough of activision and were looking for a new "fair" publisher to work with.

Thats why i guess they had a meeting in the first place and when Activision knew about it they acted against them and accused them of breach of contract.
Gomez012, can't you just create a new EA acocunt with a fake age or birth date?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Sadly no.
It's weird because, when I first got Fifa 09 like a year ago it didn't work but in the summer I left the country and when I came back to my surprise, I could play both Fifa 09 and Lord of the Rings: Conquest online. But when I recently got Fifa 10, it doesn't allow me anymore.
Wait, there are age restrictions on FIFA ? whats the restriction for ? tackles being too violent ?
Flakk wroteWait, there are age restrictions on FIFA ? whats the restriction for ? tackles being too violent ?
It's on EA servers.
Yeah that's what I don't get, I mean the game is PEGI 3+, if it was for a game 18+ I would get it.
I have EA accounts linked together along time ago. i didnt have any probs with them but i never used them to play a game.
