Sodetel users, are you experiencing a disconnection today? it's been off since early morning, with a couple hours of activity in the middle of the day. Now it's off again.

The automated message on their 1278 hotline says there's a malfunction. I'm using my "backup" VISP connection.

Does this happen often with Sodetel? after a disappointing first week, I'm now very happy with it, until today.

I guess its a bigger problem than Sodetel, I have the same problem, Internet been down for 6 hours now, I'm with Cyberia, I'm guessing the problem is from Ogero or so..

IDM still down since the afternoon.However our ogero dsl connection at work is working fine.

Ogero's been flacky from several locations i've been to today.

Home office, friend's office and even a caffe i've been to to get some work done.

Just weird, it's been like that all week...

I'm with cyberia, I got my connection back at like 1am or so!

I'm with Ogero and my connection hasn't cut off yesterday, so I do not think the problem is from Ogero's side...

What we need still, is unlimited download / upload limit... otherwise this whole bandwidth increase is for nothing.

Still nothing and phone support isn't replying however they sent me an email saying there is a general issue with dsl!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm with Ogero and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary :/

It is affecting only non-Ogero DSL.
there is 2 theories:
1)Lack of technical skills and planning in Ogero
2)Sabotage of other ISP's customers, so they switch directly to Ogero and Ogero cover this way bandwidth upgrade expenses.

I cannot understand how both of those theories are relevant... mind explaining a little bit more please? :)

1)Some insider told me it is completely stupid issue, related to improper hardware/network planning. I cannot tell details, and also it is not 100% info, even i know some technical details.
2)There is soon much more bandwidth over Cadmus. Where to find money for it? Steal other ISP's users. Users is pretty primitive in Lebanon, if they see Ogero DSL working and non-Ogero dead or working bad (even Ogero sabotage this) - they will switch to Ogero.

Don't most ISPs pipe their bandwidth from Ogero? How is it in Ogero's interest to sabotage them? Surely these many companies wouldn't take it quietly.

Because profit if they sell directly to customer - much higher.
