I'm curious about Sodetel now. Their website says they have free night traffic, which might be excellent, for the same price i'm paying anyway.

BEIRUT: The Lebanese government is planning on buying an additional 45 gigabytes of international internet bandwidth for $45 million in the coming few months said an IT expert on Sunday.
“The Ministry of Telecommunications announced that the additional bandwidth is expected to reach Lebanon in the month of May but I think that this will not happen on time because of the difficulties encountered by the Lebanese government with the Egyptian intelligence service,” Riad Bahsoun told The Daily Star.

Quite fucking true.but once again if they split the bandwidth into to equal half's up/down it'd be a much more profiting rip off for them..something tells me this country is built upon ripping peoples pockets off, i mean come on 60$ for extra 6GB?? that is hilarious,
and people actually think we'll have some real internet speeds soon.. well give me a break, the current internet situation is a gold mine for ogero and the government, and since when they thought about something beneficial other than filling in their pockets??

FFS!
What a fucking backward country!!!!! Wait, there must be something good in this country that i'm not aware of yet; could you enlighten me?
Belal, I understand your frustration. However this is both the wrong topic and forum to discuss this. We're here to discuss solutions, not to rant about the situation.belal wroteQuite fucking true.but once again if they split the bandwidth into to equal half's up/down it'd be a much more profiting rip off for them..something tells me this country is built upon ripping peoples pockets off, i mean come on 60$ for extra 6GB?? that is hilarious,

Sir, there's no hope in this country, nothing, zilch. I'm trying to find something ok in this country to cheer up, but you know...(internet comes on the bottom of the list,though)...starting with electricity and water shortage, regional, political and economical instability, stressed people, chaos, arms everywhere, warmongers, politicians, taxes(~120% taxes on oil, around 55% taxes on customs duties, municipal tax(seriously?), telecom etc), corruption, paying 2bills for most so-called services etc...also, tell me about the services an army/isf official would get from the government in exchange for his so called work/services(had it been ensuring the security!?!!
Cheers and good night.
