I'm into hardware more than software , and i guess programming is my weak point . anyhow i always get threw with the programing matters by assistance from my programmer friends . ( taking my first programming course now ) enough blabbering .
The main issue is that im giving the opportunity for programmers to try and program the computer controlled RC tank that i recently made ( before it becomes pieces again ! )
its controlled by a serial interface that can be controlled using any programming language . A program to control the tank has already been made using JAVA . the program made was a user interface .
if you want to try and write a program , you are not obliged to make a user interface , you can make a routine that the tank can loop in ! this shall expose any programmer to the difficulties of controlling something outside the computer environment and experience with all the problems that come along .
all you need to know to work this tank is that it uses skid steer , learn about that
HERE
8 commands can be sent to the tank threw the serial port (1) baud rate (9600) .
forward AB
back CD
left AC
right BD
-------------------
you need to stop each command you send after you initiate it , for example to move forward i send AB one time , to make it stop i send the lowercase of the command which is ab . and so on ( as long as AB is sent one time it will stay functional until i send the termination code which is in this case ab ) .
let's see who can make it . ( i honestly think that there will not be a lot of action here , anyhow i dont regret it :P ) now show me else wise !
