  • Wireless modems, Is it safe to be near them ?

as the title says, is it safe to be near a wireless modem while its operating ?
I have the Wireless bits modem (wisebox) and its 1.5 meters away from me facing the window (not me).

Even my uncle who is working in KSA right now asked me the same question, they use modems there that look like flash memory where they plug it in directly to the usb. (runs at 7mb/s or more)
they use 2.4 ghz signals i guess so they dont hurt i guess :p
of course it is safe , these devices along with the company operating them get a license from the government to operate on a lower wavelength of 1.2 Ghz or even less , in order to increase signal distance . and of course non of these hurt since they are not yet in the microwaves that are allegedly so tiny in wavelength to disrupt the DNA composition . and in the end these devices are available in most if not all western countries including the US , and the FCC does not allow them if they are hurtful , so rest assured you are safe .
how long have wireless routers been around? 15 years? and they have been widely used only since 5-10 years max.
we ASSUME it is safe based on the data we have now. but it hasn't been around long enough to see if on the ground, it does have side effects on the long terms.

and it doesn't have to disrupt your DNA composition to be harmful. there are many other things.

as for the FCC and regulations and europe and usa, take cigarettes. it is a FACT that they are harmful, that they can cause cancer, ... and it's legalized pretty much everywhere in the world, and you have the right to consume them in any quantity you wish.


anyways, i'm not a big fan of conspiracy theories and stuff, not saying wifi is dangerous and there are high chances we're gonna die because of it. just saying that, to be objective, we can't say for sure that they are 100% harmless. until now, we SUPPOSE they are harmless based on the research that has been done till now.
It's impossible to prove that something has no effect .
Just make sure that you are wearing an aluminum foil around your head and your testicles when near them.
Also wear the same protection when heating microwave food.

If Wi-Fi should be taken out of schools, then the mobile phone network should be shut down, too — and FM radio and TV, as the strength of their signals is similar to that from Wi-Fi in classrooms'

I read in a mag about that but in England and the effect of wifi on children and they said it is not harmful.
