actually there is no such major called CCE... Im more like ingenieur telecom if want.. bass in Lebanon AUB khtara3o CCE and then some universities imitated the idea.. Its like merging courses from CE and EE. Still you cannot find it in LAU or some other universities like USJ... Nor in France and I bet nor in the US..

I am almost sure that's CE ( computer engineering) in Jbeil ( unless things changed since 5 years)
battikh
at USJ we have license en informatique et reseaux, which is basically the CC in CCE. it's exactly the same cursus as CCE but without the courses that are not related to the degree (SC and these stuff) and it's just 3 years. and it's not an engineering degree as by lebanese law any engineering degree must be at least 5 years.
and CC does make sense as we learn both telecommunications (radio transmissions, satellites, cellular, ... to IP networking) AND computers (from hardware, to OSs to programming).

My undergraduate program here at the University in Canada is 4 years with 3 work terms. At the end of the 4 years, I will graduate with a Bachelor Degree.
Are you saying that does not make me an engineer as per the Lebanese law ?
Please let me know.
Thank you.
battikh
i think they consider the 3 work terms as part of the curriculum, so it would be 5 years.
halla2 for being recognized as an engineer, you are what your degree is as long as your employer recognizes it :P the "only" thing is if you can be part of na2abet el mhandsin or not. but the 3 work terms are most probably taken into account, coz for most majors you have at least 1 semester of training which is part of the curiculum.
anyways, if you want to make sure, just check that your degree from your university is recognized by el na2abeh, coz that's the only thing that matters.

I mistyped. It's actually 4 work terms. Each year, 2 semesters are spent at the University while the 3rd one is a work term. So a total of 4 years with a total of 4 work terms (4x4 months).
I have contacted a couple of universities in Lebanon and they said they will honor my degree without any problems, but that's after I get it approved from the ministry of higher education (should not be a hard task)
So, what's left is Na2abit l Mhandsin (The Order of Engineers). Any more news about that?
Thank you.

Shouldn't they be called Syndicate for Na2abi.

Business Informatics (MIS) - Lebanese University Hadath. I've taken a lot of business related courses so far, only 3 introductory courses that actually relate to my major, but I've taught myself everything I know actually, I only go to the uni for the sake of getting a degree. But hopefully starting this semester I'll start learning useful stuff (networking, programming, databases, OS... etc)
