samer Our IRC channel is now up, we'll test it for a week or two to see how things there affect us over here. Server: irc.freenode.net (6667) Channel : #lebgeeks IRC client suggestions: Cross-platform: irssi Mac OS X: adium, snak Windows: mIRC GNU/Linux: xchat
mir how are you planning to prevent identity theft aka how are you gonna make sure mir is mir and samer is samer not for example padre pretending to be mir and samer :P ( no offense padre, you are just a perfect example of mischief )
Padre -_-" ok .... well that's the problem in IRC :D unless they have some kind of nick name service to authenticate i doubt it's possible :)
Xsever I have not used mIRC in like 10 years. Anyway of bypassing the registration period limitation other than pirating? Any free alternatives ?
rolf Congrats on the hearder samer, looks good :-D Anyone cares to set up an archiving bot? How feasible is it?
Xsever @ Padre: mIRC expires in 30 days from the first use, but I am sure we can find a way around that if you know what I mean! :D There are also free IRC clients. I had no time yet to research that.
arithma Xchat is a free one that I've used for windows. Try it, it's satisfying 90% of the time, got some issues with stability.
