  • Store In Lebanon That Can Fix Rrod

Guys does anybody know any store in Lebanon that can fix Rrod
even if you fix it it will RROD again get a JASPER ELITE one
But No The Elite I Got A Pro 60 Gb
You have a Jasper that got the RROD?
"One possible cause of the General Hardware Error is cold soldering. The added mass of the CSP chips (including the GPU and CPU) resists heat flow that allows proper soldering of the lead-free solders underneath the motherboard. This causes cracking and voids in the solders themselves from prolonged constant temperature changes inside the console. Lead-free solders, however, might be the cause of this because, when properly soldered, they take on a dull appearance that professionals take as a cold solder joint in older methods, thus leading to confusion. Lead-free solders also require a greater amount of heat (213 degrees celsius) to solder properly when compared to older lead/tin solders (185 degrees celsius)." basicly improper manufacturing
you can try to reflow the solder in the motherboard , should work
I didn't get RROD its just a question
just be sure it is jasper . rare are the jasper ones who got RROD. i have a falcon one and not yet RROD and i play it alot but never more than 2 hours on one seat.
and put it in a open place, horizontal not vertical, take good care.
usually the real danger for RROD begin after 1 year of usage.
I play sometimes up to 6 hours with mine and it didn't get the RROD.

it works but never last long, after that the Xbox will RROD again in no time.

anyway the real RROD problem where with the earlier models FALCON have rare RROD and JASPER have relatively no RROD prob.
for a more permanent fix the solder can be replaced , board cleaned then re soldered with proper solder
so jad what your saying is that it can be fixed ( the rrod ) in lebanon ?
Just fix it yourself dude (reflow solder), it's really easy. If you need to know how to do it, most of us know how to do that, so you can't go wrong.
yeah sure it can be fixed ! as pikatore said ! :)

Do it urself, ive done many RRoD fixes in before. The problem is with the X-clamps, which have the tendancy to break and crack from the mobo when it cools down. i.e. the problem lies in the cooling, over time basically the GPU gets detached from the mothboard. THi9s is where the RRoD originates. Many shady stores do it for 50$ USD... flipping ripoff. Google x-clamp fix and watch some videos on youtube, go get the stuff you need from radio shack and then do it yourself.
is this fix permanent ?
i mean can i play like for 6 or 7 hours after the RROD and not worrying about it happening again ?
if you change the solder yes , if you just re-flow it , the problem will come back .

Ding Ding Ding

There's your answer.

As for playing for 6-7 hours, well ive benchmarked some 360's before, left them for days, once i left one for weeks. Of course i had a back just in case the power cut.

Like i said, the problem itself lies on the cooling down, and there is NOTHING you can do about that. Jaspers seem to be rid of the problem. Most 360's ive delt with that had the damn problem were falcons. Yet again, this RRoD stuff is basically completely random, it may happen and it may not

What MS have done is used shitty paste to clamp these x-clamps down (im sure it has nothing to do with beating the race to release their console beofre Sony's PS3) anyway basically to fix this you have to clean them, and apply Arctic Silver (like i said google is your friend here) and then re apply the clamps back onto the motherboard. Make sure you press down hard.

Things you can do to "prevent" it is to keep it well ventilated, "inno mat hata tahit el dvd player wat sakir 3leiha min kil el maylaaat"

and regular dust outs would help.

P.S Sorry for the long reply
