Charly Hey all, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...... I know i haven't been around lately, but you know AUB... they try to screw you in every way possible I need some help from you guys with my FYP. My partners and I are working on a project entitled "Hybrid Car optimization using Game Theory". It is about optimizing the efficiency of the hybrid car using the game theory (used in economics and engineering) as the control mechanism between the different components. I won't go into details anyways. My partners and I have been searching to find a sample remote control hybrid car that has BOTH fuel and a battery as energy supplies, that supply the generator and electric motor respectively. Now we've been able to find a normal remote control car that works only on fuel (found at a price of $300), and the usual cheap remote control cars that work on batteries. BUT !! We need one that has both, and it doesn't have to be a commercial car. I know that we can buy the 2 different cars and build up 1 car, but it takes time, the time we'd rather spend optimizing the efficiency instead of building it. We already have a sponsor, so price isn't really a problem. So...... can anyone help here ? Thanx anyways :D
J4D there is no such thing made on a small scale , making one car out of two is easier than you imagine , if you want we can further discuss the method , things like this are my hobby and study so im generally interested in helping :)
rolf My cousin works for the MAN reseller in Lebanon, and they have a machine that cuts metal automatically (forgot the name of it, you know a computer controlled metal cutter - will produce small metal parts). Just in case youre looking for such a thing. They normally use it for their products, but it might be possible to put it to work for you. I also know there are other such machines in Lebanon. I recommend Tamiya cars. Some of them are pretty big. There is a Tamiya shop at dora, after the Geant in direction dora, on the right, with an R/C racing track behind it. You might want to go there and ask for advice. Some people have experience in R/C car repair, building and tuning. If it was my project, Id try to throw in an embedded control device running linux, but maybe its not necessary. As for the game theory, please explain to me how it can be applied to this case. Thanks. In any case, good luck.

Charly Thanx for the quick replies first of all... Second, I'll try passing by Tamiya ASAP for recommendation.. thanx rolf =) and about the game theory as a ctrl mechanism, we're still working on how the nash equilibrium should be established between player1 and player2 (in this case the battery and the fuel tank). @xterm: the fuel RC cars that we found were at wild willy ;) @jad thanx for the help man, my last resort would be building the car.... =) please if some1 finds a car, contact me asap. it doesnt have to be in lebanon, we can have it shipped. thanx again
