Just wondering if anyone knows what this is. over 3 weeks ago I contacted my ISP (Sodetel), asking them what I needed to do to be eligible for unlimited night traffic on my DSL account. They told me since I subscribed for DSL as soon as it came out, before they had the chance to install servers in the central, they had to hook me up using Ogero's servers or something, and that they have to swap my account from Ogero DSP to Sodetel DSP, and that the process would take around 10 days. Here I am 21 days after they cut off my internet to do this presumably "quick" server swap, and still I can't get a clear answer from anyone, i've called them over 20 times since then, it's always the same routine: you're account isn't done yet, there's nothing we can do about it, it's ogero's fault! Maybe something went wrong in the central! And in that way they toss random assumptions and excuses at you, so that you'd have nothing to say and hang up. On Saturday they directed me to the sales department that could presumably give me more information on why the hell it's taking so long, so I called there, and the nice lady told me to call on Monday and that the account would be done for sure by then. I call on Monday and this guy with a familiar voice answers and he recites the well-known support team poem: There's nothing I can do for you, I don't know, it's Ogero's fault! So i'm just wondering here, has anyone ever had to go through this process? I mean if they tell you 10 days, then make you wait 21 days and it's nowhere near done... I just don't get it, why does it take so long? What do they get from delaying it over and over again? Any suggestions or advice?

Idiocy , one of many problems faced by geeks abroad . i suggest you start yelling and threatening , do not use the low voice and calm nature , that doesn't work . threaten them that you will switch to another ISP . or head there and follow your problem .

don't phone , go to their office and shout as jad said. make them wish they where in hell when you show up

I've tried yelling at them on the phone, they just simply don't care / say they can't do anything. They know I don't have a choice since changing ISP will take even longer, so I guess they're just taking advantage of that; and what more will yelling at their office accomplish than yelling at them over the phone?

Hopefully you will be done by then, but when I am back to Lebanon, I'll contact you and go with you to the office! I'll show you how it gets done! :D
When you wake up in the morning and put your feet on the ground ,you should make the devil say: "Oh shit! He's up !" :D
