Infinity Ward's fired West and Zampella (high level employees at Activision and Infinity Ward and the ones behind the Call of Duty series) have started up a new studio called Respawn Entertainment under EA. EA have picked up the 2 men and gave them full control of whatever new games they produce and EA will handle all distribution and publishing duties. Interesting move from EA and is expected. But with the already existing war FPSs (Battlefield and Medal of Honor), I wonder what the new studio will come up with next.
One other news tidbit comes from the tweets of Hideo Kojima. His latest tweets are hinting that Zone of the Enders 3 could be his next game to make. Zone of the Enders is one of the best games combining mech combat and anime-grade storylines. Its actually one my my favorite games last gen on the PS2, so a sequel is something I'll be looking forward to. Of note, he won't be that much involved in the next Metal Gear chapter.

Because in their July 2007 issue, the Official UK PlayStation 2 Magazine included the 2nd Runner in a list of hard-to-find PS2 games. But i have ZOE2 and it is really great, the action and the story are great you'll really know that Hideo Kojima is behind it.
