hello guys , im now in turkey and the internet speed is just phenomenal i will be downloading everything that comes to mind (BIG FILES ) ! :D if anybody requests any file just tell me i will download it , currently im downloading a couple of linux distros as well as ophcrack and the ubuntu notebook remix . btw anybody has an idea on what should i download also ? :D here is evidence of the speed =)

I won't show you the speed I've got here :)

But one thing I can propose: You can download files that are hard to get, from torrents. Upload them on some server (like zshare.net) and give a direct link to the people that wants it. This would be done by PM only.

If someone has something important to download by torrent and he can't, I can do that (as long as its less than 2gb per file). I can be selective about the files I download because nowadays in France they are trying to fight torrents, piracy etc.. (yes there is legal torrents :) )
You can PM me about it, but please no spam demands, no stupid stuff (the last porno movie with I don't remember what her name is), and no time guarantee is given.
If someone else is willing to provide this service, let him show himself, it would be nice to help the community in some way, hoping it would be as legal as it can.

yep they can be downloaded in Lebanon but there is a joy of watching 685 MB finish downloading in under 30 minutes with not even effecting the speed of browsing :)

True. But if we can provide this service and do it for free, its much better than to pay for it ;)

and Jad, i download everything i want, without having to stop anything, at double the speed ur getting :P just have to know when and what to abuse ;)
if it's not affecting the speed of browsing, that means ur not fully taking advantage of ur bandwidth :P

yeah it is true my friend is in nice studying and lots of people got caught downloading torrents (his lebanese buddies) didn't ask him what they did with them, but i think it is some amount of money you need to pay and you'll get some kind of warning

@patrick, I'm with Darty, très haut debit (THD) 100mbps, I get an average around 85mbps. And about the piracy thing, well it starts in 2010, and for me, its a big joke :)

Not possible, the law is not applied yet. But the idea is, you get the first warning, then the second, then a fine and your internet access is cut.

My download rate at work in Lebanon is 1.3MB/sec ~ 10mbps But I cannot really abuse it at day time because they will kill me, I download at night ( SSH VPN or Logmein ) ;)
