IDM is starting a new plan fr its pesco wirelses broadband (wireless modem internet/wise/terrasmart etccc...)
\Dont know much about online gaming and internet.
So theoretically is that supposed to improve online performance over the normal package?
the normal package till now has been : 64 up , 512 down , |IDM saying that they ll make starting 1st december 128 up , 512 down.
--> also people have been telling me to tell the support of my isp to put me on a different backbone.
do i just call and ask , whast the procedure for that?
anybody esle in here got experience with online gaming over wireless internt ?
what about mobi ? how does that system fare against ADSL and the wise thingy machine
thanks a lot guys for answering my previous post btw

wise - mobi same concept different machines and makes . and better upload surely means better gaming in the since of being able to play more complex games that would need to send extra info. in gaming the upload would be your actual game play sent to the server and your download in the game is the game-play of others in the game. so in general if you can upload faster without lagging , your game-play should become better :)

Yes, better upload means better gaming.

But you've got to make sure that advertised upload is a true one?
Actually, the most important factor in online gaming is the ping time (aka latency time). The lower that is, the better the online gaming.
And the only ISP who has decent ping times is Ogero; however, they only provide ADSL with limited quota per month.
All the other ISPs provide high ping times but with unlimited night quotas.....
Bass yeah, the faster the upload speed, the better. And definitely, 128 is better than 64 :D

It wont be a drastic change. Sorry to disappoint.

it depends on where the bottleneck is. if ur game requires a lot of downloads, and practically no upload, then u wont benefit. Measure the game use, and then see if ur reaching capacity in terms of upload or download while playing. if you are not, then an increase in any of them is not gonna benefit you in anything.
Latency is a factor to consider too :)

At least, I hope that it will improve Skype.
But I'm not sure 128k will be enough for video..
