I tried 1600 iso once, it was VERY grainy, but I think it was badly processed, it was way more grainy then supposed.
That's the thing with silver photography here, you gotta find someone who will process your stuff properly.
Slides are the way to go if you want best quality, but its more expensive, and you'll need a slide scanner.
You can also do black and white and process them yourself. I did for a while, and its enjoyable :) Its a pretty simple process, really, and you can turn any small room into a darkroom using kitchen aluminum foil.

Color flash?? Why didn't anyone think of it before? people on photos with a flash look like white cheese on a surreal yellowish/greenish background, thats why I tend to only use flash to reduce the contrast in day photos.
