  • What do you guys think of Microsoft Security Essentials ?

I noticed MSE wasn't brought up on the forum yet, if im not mistaken that is.
For those who havent heard, microsoft came up with a free anti-virus solution, that can be downloaded from their website: www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

I personally installed it on my Win7, i found that their claims are true, it really doesnt bug the user AT ALL, last time i got a notification was when it found a severe case, it doesnt even require manual updating nor does it take up alot of ram/cpu usage.

What do you guys think about it ?
um, i had heard of it but I've been a Norton user for the last two years so I was not interested in it.
i have a question for you. is it better than AVG free edition ? so that i can recommend it for who doesn't wanna buy any security system.
Well according to me it is ... AVG's updating on every system startup is ANNOYING, it uses more ram/cpu and has frequent notification. To me , AVG's real time protection is weak and does not include Anti Spyware i believe. Based on that, i think MSE is better.
