to monitor the bandwidth on the router's side, either install tomato router (if you have a supported linksys router) or use MRTG (assuming that the router supports snmp, which it should).
I Recommend that you get DU Meter [For Windows]
the best B. monitor i've ever used.

I'll Send you the Application. Feel Free to contact me at any time.
already asked and I answered already, use the search box.
I think toxic is asking for an application that will calculate the traffic on the router and not on the client side. DU meter will not help.
How the hell can we answer the question if we dont know what kind of router you have.
If its a computer, (windows/linux), there are software for that. If its a device, depending on the model, you can flash it with firmware that will provide this feature, through the admin interface, or possibly through snmp. I know tomato firmware does something similar. You will need to reconfigure the router. If its a router provided by your ISP, then this procedure is not recommended, unless you really know what youre doing, which doesnt seem to be the case. It might also already support this feature without needing a reconfiguration.
If you have an old PC laying around (or if you dont mind keeping your workstation on 24/24), and if you dont mind buying an additional wireless access point (shi $40 or less) and NIC, then you can go the easy way, fit your PC with an additional NIC (ya3ne network card, less then $10), connect it to your old router, now connect the second network card with your new wireless access point, bridge the two network adapters in windows, select share my connection, and install bandwidth monitoring software (search these forums for my previous suggestions), then disable wiress on your old router. Now all your traffic will go through the PC and you can monitor it.
ok u dont need to get pissed of the router i have is Linksys WRT54GL

thanx alot guys
PRTG or MRTG are good. I tried PRTG in the past and it worked well but still, had to keep my computer turned on.

have a try http://www.paessler.com/prtg

I don't use it anymore as my ISP tells me how much I use.

Even when I had VISP, I was checking on pi.globalproof.net my quota etc..

there are many custom firmwares for that, including tomtato.
Since its GL then it may run a linux firmware already, and might already have the features you need.
