its not illegal, you need to buy and install the equipment which is expensive between 600-1000$

then you need to deal with a company to provide you with the download and upload, there are different companies for different prices and speeds.

I've known one who provides you with the equipment for 600$ but does not install it for you, and gives you the monthly download and upload for 200$, and the download speed is 1gb and upload is 2gb.

i dont know how accurate is this, but my advice is get the "al waseet" and call the ads of satellite people and ask them if they have this server. many of them do.

Hamboza - TRA (www.tra.gov.lb) require license (and fees) for receiving internet over satellite dish.
I am not absolutely sure, check their website.
But practically noone cares, as soon as you dont resell it in your area :-)
It is easy to get connection from many satellite providers... but it is not so cheap.

You can have download but you need a license for upload.
Satellite equipment is restricted at the customs too.
If satellite internet prices became interesting (a couple of years ago they werent), please let me know.
