Hey everyone,

Another great piece of software I use. It's called Startup delayer. You set it to delay some of the apps that automatically start on your computer.

After analyzing the CPU and Hard Disk usage of each startup program, I was able to integrate a delay for each app to start. This will result in a smoother startup.

Give it a shot and let me know.

I think vista has this built in...
I do not think so. Both Vista and 7 have a similar feature that only affects services. This one deals with the apps you allow to startup not the services.
It really helps when your hard drive and CPU are not the newest. It gives each app its time to settle.
hmm one more reason to ditch the ol' hard disks and get an SSD :D
I think they are still too expensive and not future proof. I keep hearing news that they will no last long.
SSDs have a seek time that is like 10 times faster then hard drives.
Anyway thanks for the delayer. The main annoyance I face on startup though is that vista asks for permission to run for a bunch of bunch of programs. I know they are ways to disable that, but they are kinda complcated hacks.
Actually, I am using 7 now and I have found a way to disable UAC. I think it is the same for vista. Not complicated at all. Just google it and you'll find what you need.
