I think our first milestone is getting the internet right. Once we have a higher rate of accesibility, tech-related businesses will bring theirselves to us. Bas iza l T1 line costs 5 figures per year, then it's not that feasible.

T1 is used only in North America and Australia. Everywhere else (including Lebanon and the Middle East) --> E1 (2048Kbps). T1 is 1554Kbps.

Anyway, how much does it cost to have an E1 line in Leb now?

The kenyans I know are pretty cool people. Very hospitable, they used to offer me pork ribs and drinks and wed sit in a dimly lit living room among a bunch of kenyans squatting my friends flat. Really nice to be around.

Plus they got the best olympic runners :D (dont ask why, why anyone would want to run for kilometers when they can sit in a dimly lit living room, eat roasted meat, drink whisky, and watch rap videos with a bunch of friends.

But they can do nasty things to each others when living together, so dont move in with them. Not that they will let a white guy move in with them anyway, unless hes a she...

uh... yeah underground cables... that is good. That is good. Learn to see the positive side of things, one more country where you can have good internet, should you ever move there (and it doesnt look too bad...)

Dont waste it banging your head on the wall for something that will never change. You dont like the hotel, move out... ;)

My connection here in Canada is 10 Mb/s (1.1 MB/s) Download and 0.614 Mb/s (75 KB/s) Upload. I pay 55$ a month and my monthly cap is 60GB.

well the public sector offices seem to have an awful big number of old computers put on desk just for display
first they looked cool... now it likes like going into a tech museum sometimes

Whats missing for us to be installing real wind power? Why cant we ever see someone in this forums post something like 'i am working with the governement to install a sea turbine' instead of 'this and that would be good, but lets stop dreaming'. As if it was a bad thing to dream.
