Well when chrome launched, it surely stole the spotlights in browser speed but there were some hiccups that were annoying(e.g. facebook) but that didn't drive me away from it...
however last week, firefox 3.5b4 launched and i've just got my hands on it, i can proudly say that firefox is back on top, lightning speed(albeit a little slower than chrome) without the hiccups of chrome, it scored on my pc on the future benchmark tool 912 while chrome scored 1056, the gap is really closing up :D
And i should mention, you should try Flock, it's a good browser(gecko based) with nifty features for social networking :P

I built a firefox 3.5beta from mercurial last saturday. it's definitely faster than 3.0 especially if you set javascript.options.jit.chrome to true in about:config

Im happy with firefox...
Looking further is ridicoulous I think. Chrome is great but whats it really gonna change... Firefox works for me...
I think what matters here is having the choice not to put up with IEs crap... that is what matters the most. Whether there are 1 or 20 alternatives doesnt really matter. What matters is that the user has a choice, and therefore has power over the devloper.
If there was no choice, MS could have made IE 1gb large, in pink, taking 2 minutes to launch, with 50 buttons... and users would have no power whatsoever on MS.

I'm still experience high CPU usage when using Firefox 3 on OSX. I tried disabling extensions but it is still using too much. I'm sticking with Safari for light browsing, as I don't really have time to browse a lot lately.

I'm waiting for webkitgtk to mature. it's currently under very heavy development. epiphany 2.28 will use webkit only.

I've used a lot of WebBrowsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari, ...
However, I've found Safari Beta 4 to be the fastest! It looks the best and navigates very fast. It got a 100 on the Acid3 test.
I've installed and uninstalled Chrome three times since it was first released.
Firefox is great, but not perfect.
Internet Explorer was like being in HELL!
Safari is simply perfect!

Chrome should give similar results to Safari. both use libwebkit backend for rendering.

I see lots of browser-promiscuity in this thread...
cheating, talking behind the back, messing around...
