  • Wow Trial Account Upgrade...Need Help

Hey everyone,

So my friend recently gave me a 10-day wow trial that came with the original cd. I had the game on my external hard drive so i entered the trial key and created an account on the EU server. I liked the game and decided i wanted to upgrade to a full account. I went to wow-europe.com, account management, and found a link that said upgrade online now. I followed that link and entered my credit card details and was told it would take 72 hours to process. A couple of days later, I got an email from blizzard saying that they were unable to successfully process my request and have disabled access to my account for security reasons. So right now, my account is locked. Whenever I go to the wow europe site and go to account management this is what happens: I bought an authentication key online and tried filling in the boxes on the right and clicking upgrade account but nothing happened. To ensure that the authentication key was genuine, I went to create account and put the key in and there were no problems, meaning that I can make a new account. I dont want a new one, I just one to figure out how to unlock my current one. Sorry if this is a bit long but I'd really appreciate it if anyone could help. Thanks in advance :)
They locked your account for a reason, even if you do upgrade your account this will not ensure that it well get unlocked. First thing you need to do is check the email that was sent to your email when the account got locked, based on this information you will figure out what's wrong.

I believe that since this is a "lock" its indefinite and you will have to contact blizzard about it.

Check your email, you're bound to get results there.
lol u used they key you bought... so now the account, where you used the key, is the account you should use, the key is bound to that account and thus cannot be entered on any other account, but what you can do, is request from blizzard to transfer you characters from your trial account to your new account.. :P
I didn't actually create the account. When you want to sign up for a new account, the first step is entering the authentication key, so I just did the first step to see if it would work, and when they allowed me to continue to the next step, I exited. The fact that I can make a new account if I want to means that the key is genuine. I just did that to make sure that the key I bought was real. I sent Blizzard an email but have yet to hear back from them.

The email that was sent didn't have a reason or any information really. All they said was this "This notice is being sent to inform you that we are unable to successfully process the recently requested electronic upgrade for World of Warcraft. As such, this account has been set to the account type which it was at before the electronic upgrade and no charges have been processed for this. In addition, in order to protect the security of both this World of Warcraft account and your payment method we have disabled access to this account to prevent potential abuse."
lol :P just create another trial account and upgrade it, it's not a biggy
unless u made it to 60 in 10 days of trial play. and still there, it's easily replaceable.

i concur... you can also request to transfer your characters as i said before...

Sara, If there's any reason you deem important enough to keep this trial account contact blizzard (their hq opens at ~6:00pm our time).

Otherwise, do what Padre said.
this problem xtrem is due to security issue from your bank cause i once had the same problem
I appreciate all the help guys. I just really didn't want to start over lol. I had my friend in London call them for me and they just unlocked my account and I was able to upgrade it with the key. Thanks again for all the help :)

hey guys i cant upgrade my account from trial i have an internet master card from byblos bank but dont know what to put for zip and dont have a verification code from the behind of my credit card but have a CVC code on the front please help :(
it is save as CVV2 CVC and for zipcode 00961 lol

i dont know if your cc gonna work online with eu Marchent my friend faced the same problem he have Credit from audi bank it even online credit just for buying thing over net and he had same problem with eu marchent give decline :) try it on offgamers but they need confirm so i think if u just get prepaid from pcandpart it would be really easier hehehe
but CVC is cvv2 i used my cc on godaddy and always work normal :)
no but i have my account on us server and can i get a prepaid card to work even when am on trial i mean can i upgrade using a offgamers card
