rolf I have windows vista enterprise edition... I spent the day yesterday customizing it... choosing a nice wallpaper, finding a cool clock icon for the sidebar (really looks nice), cleaning up my documents... the result was pretty nice... then I rebooted to see if I could take care of the last thing I wanted to change... this annoying habit of windows defender to block my startup apps... So I log in and am greeted by a screen telling me that Windows needs to be validated... The grace period has expired... Now Im left with only firefox working... well i can get to the cmd through a complex trick... :/
beezer So validate. Or do you have a pirated version, like 80% of the Lebanese population? So really...you have no right to complain that the program is doing its job. I'm sorry if I sound rude, I just hate piracy on things that you really do use and are really well put together.
rolf its jst that id have appreciated a warning that te os is gonna do this. it told me abt activation, bt i thoght id only get a balloon like in xp. i dont like the way it snck p on me

rolf mir wrotelol rolf .. you should Fix that keyboard of yours and that U letter :P is it laptop or desktop u using ? its a laptop... thats why im hestitating to shell out money to fix it... i think ill need this money to buy labneh for the next month.
mir looooool rolf ... khalas labneh on me btw.. how much would it cost.. can you attach a regular keyboard or something ? and here is an idea : when i was at school.. i made that keyboard randomizer for fun and droubeh... you know person press letter A gets the letter Z , presses letter A againg gets letter M i can change that and we can assign the missing letters of your keyboard to some unused ones like [ = U or ~ = U ( shi heik ) :P
beezer Yeah it sucks that it doesn't give you a small balloon. But they've learned from their mistakes this time around, and expect Windows 7 to be no different.
mir like beezer said, you can't really nag about this.. since u are using an illegal stolen version well.. and if u don't like it .. there are always good alternatives :D In my opinion, without piracy, Windows would have a lower market share ! so somehow this piracy thing served windows in a way
P337 @OP: My post is going off-topic. But, When i saw the title, I thought this thread will contain a picture of an African guy wearing a Microsoft t-shirt/hat. I don't remember where I saw it anyway, it was like an ad. But, hey, you disappointed me. :/
rolf I read that SP1 removes the redced fnctionnality mode... illegal versions of vista will stay fnctional. I dont know how reliable the sorce is thogh... come to think of it... they prolly fit in an ever more sneaky measre.. like it will take yor address and send to law enforcement...
beezer And then they'll see "Lebanon" and decide it's not worth it. Figured that you've already suffered enough. :P
