i know that Nemesis-301 , but i thought it was really weird that at 5:00pm eveything went from great to rock bottom in one second , and i got FUP'ed yesterday

vengeance666 wrotei though FUP starts at 6pm until 3am ... yea i download the WoW patch yesterday and that was a nightmare..anyway i was playing since noon and everything was smooth 300 400ms , when it hit 5 o'clock sharp , latency grew to 2k ms and it is no way close to playable anymore :[/quote]
well keep in mind that the brevet results are coming out and thousands of people are using the internet right now, you cant even open the website... I dont know I'm just suggesting...
I don't think that applies to VISP Nemesis. Browsing and http connections almost never slow down.
We're talking about other ports.
Some instability now. Problems in Lebanon never ends.
It is not suprising internet will be only more expensive here. None of ISP's in world, where internet cheap have issues like in Lebanon.
Some areas no electricity almost, too much cuts.

Yes, and everytime there are electrical outages, you risk equipment wreckage.
Indeed. Funny thing, here "generator" people do not implement phase syncronization with EDL, and people who want to switch without outage from one source to another will have phase issues, e.g. 440V on equipment(worst case) and interruptors down.
Major internet connection problem at the moment. it works for a minute at ~300s latency then I can't connect for ~5 minutes and works for a minute then I can't connect for another few minutes and so on.
Pings are very unstable.

When will VISP users start feeling the IMEWE love ? :p
well yesterday i was able to down cho'gall smoothly, topping dps , not a single tiny winy thing going wrong , it was at 1am , with a stable latency of 350ms...keep that up guys , or at least make it possible during peak times also..IMEWE is coming soon so :P
Sunday was really terrible for internet.
Monday and Tuesday were very good.
Yesterday was constant disconnects at night.
I was just playing , and once again i can't do crowded things ( even though i could yesterday ) , and latency is very unstable , drops to 400's and instantly goes to 680 then drops again...
So many speculations....So few concrete evidence!!!
seriously ? 6k ms ? can't even move ? got dced while in the middle of the sea all by myself ?

is this getting anywhere ? or no ?

EDIT : 4am and still lagging like hell in instances , pvp ... pratically everything ! my latency drop to 400ms if i'm doing nothing , if i try to join something...umm to actually play the game ? it grows instantly to 2k+ with very long lag spikes ..
Hi, I've been having a problem for ~10 days. when VISP installed my connection, they put a box on the building roof and connected it using a cable to my house. the box on building top is also connected to a electrical socket in my house. for the last 10 days, after the electricity is back (three hour electricity outage a day), I have to turn my computer on and off many times and unplug the box many times as well before I can connect to the pppoe connection.
I spoke to their support a week ago but they couldn't do anything. Then three days ago, I called the VISP person who comes to pick up the subscription money. he said he's get someone to come check it. So far no one did.
In the meantime, is it possible to tell if this is a problem with my network card or the box?
This problem happen to me when they installed the box on the roof. The problem is with the power. If you put the adapter in your home, the DC voltage would be low at the box due to loss in cable. So what i did is to send the 220v via a cable and put the adapter near the box and the problem is gone. Try it

this is the result i just got ( best result ever :D ) , and got the exact same thing at 9PM at peak times !! i think this is a very great improvement , the reason i test to frankfurt is because the WoW server i play on is located there... but why does online gaming still not functionning correctly ? i wasn't able to do any crowded stuff like 20men BGs until ~1am , even though pingtest.net shows good results.. i used to get a 500 600ms+ just yesterday.. i think this is related to the activation of IMEWE today right ? but when are we going to "not lag anymore while in middle of a fight with nefarian and getting kicked from the group?" , bandwidth is now enough , we used to play well at 8pm with 2.5Gbps as national capacity , now we have alot more !! any answers ?

should make sense why we still have this lag.

i agree with your post , but still things don't make sense ... if we are not to benefit from IMEWE at the moment , i would have got my regular 600ms ping to frankfurt , my 130ms to bbc.co.uk instead of less than 80ms yesterday night , but yes i will wait a couple of weeks since things are still fresh.. i just hope for nuclearcat to elaborate some things to us so nothing is speculations anymore .. just a couple of clear answers ! *fingers crossed*
Keep in mind VISP connection can be very good when it works.
We're probably just used to the constant downtime, outages and disconnects so when it does work, we think something suddenly improved.
IMEWE is not operational yet for ISP's. I check my customer at IDM - also same, and they are still using satellite.
nuclearcat wroteIMEWE is not operational yet for ISP's. I check my customer at IDM - also same, and they are still using satellite.
Thank you...I was starting to think I'm the only one behind.

thanks for the quick reply , but any approximate time separating us from actually using the IMEWE as end customers ? or nothing clear about this issue ?
Anyone else getting constant lag spikes today since early afternoon?
Unusable connection right now. one second low 300ms latency to game then no internet for ~20 seconds then it goes back to low 300s.
lag spikes started. not just spikes. whole minute outages.
what ingame latencies are you getting hussam at peak times ? when it is actually not lag spiking ?
low 300s when not lag spiking.

Actually, it seems stuck at 700 to 800ms now (but no spikes/disconnects/outages).
From several minutes i was trying speedtest to check if any changes was made and i was shocked when i saw the result. i'm a 256kbps broadband user and this is the result. the test was made several time and almost the same result

anyone can confirm this please

yesterday at 4am , tried to stream 1:41 minutes on youtube , waited for like 10 minutes...seen it only 7 seconds streamed so far
Anyone else having major lag/packet loss in online games at the moment?
uhh i have no damn idea why i'm FUP'ed right now , i just found out ! what the hell i was at 83% yesterday and now 105% , i didn't abuse anything for the love of god !! but yea latency stinks now
maybe someone is stealing your wifi?
will VISP broadband customers benefit from the Cable? yes or no?
babum wrotemaybe someone is stealing your wifi?
no nobody is , i have a strong password with WPA2 AES encryption...and seriously i doubt anyone near me actually knows how to use a computer , what about backtrack ? :P

and nuclearcat , if everything goes well on thursday , when we will benefit from all this ?
vengeance666 wroteuhh i have no damn idea why i'm FUP'ed right now , i just found out ! what the hell i was at 83% yesterday and now 105% , i didn't abuse anything for the love of god !! but yea latency stinks now
I think they've simply tightened the numbers lately. I hardly use the internet other than emails and an only game that uses ~200 bytes up/down and I'm
7 Days Peak Time Fair Usage: 28%
7 Days Fair Usage: 31%
256k home account.
In reality, I expect to be less than 20% (I don't open youtube or download movies/songs).

I hope this improves when we got the upgrade.
there are no tools or at least for not experienced people to break WPA2. it might just be a bug from the ISP's side.
