If we lived in a suitable environment, you'd have seen protests and lobbying over such issues as the internet. But this kind of thing is futile in Lebanon. The way things are, with Ogero's monopoly (and we all know to whom Ogero belongs), and corporate mindset of cronyism..... nothing can be done until the whole political establishment is torn apart, and sadly the Lebanese people keep electing these shitheads.
I'm drifting way off topic here, but the bottom line is : don't think you're reinventing the steel by running around and saying "OMG LEBANESE INTERNET USERS ARE SO DUMB, THEY DESERVE THIS BECAUSE THEY DO NOTHING ABOUT IT". It's just that issue is much bigger than a protesting or lobbying effort.
Just because we live in a sad reality doesn't mean it's "more than we people actually deserve".
