Oi' I'm thinking of subscribing to a 256K account with VISP. Main appeals to me are : * The gaming zone (supposedly with <100ms latencies for private...

Today we had power failure and related to this consequences. Internet will improve slowly during 3 days, some equipment need to be replaced.

P.S We have redundant large generators and redundant UPS modules, but all modern equipment are not made for such terrible conditions. Plus maintenance cost, fuel expenses are reaching sky high level.

Same here , but the way he said it makes you feel that they kind of blocked it for you to buy a real ip .. It's just how it looks from his professional reply .. What if I don't want to get one ? I don't have the right to access any thing related to ping in europe ? ( I was trying Skype and same thing , with a European person ) , I don't have access to anything related to online games ? Not even off peak times ? I'm not allowed to use https ? Turns out google opens when I go there non-https , everything works fine off https . It's enough the speedtests are fake so we can't see the truth behind our connections , download mirrors are capped at 512k while download speed that everyone else have is a 1mbit/sec .. What kind of policy is this ? I hope what I just said isn't true .

Real ip are not in same bandwidth class as other users (it is latest changes). But it is more technical limitation, than done especially, because bandwidth limit are assigned on NAT server, and real IP are not passing this server.
So technically it can be a bit better. Regarding quality, i'm temporary abroad, when i will be back, i will see what can be done to improve situation.

But to be honest, I'm getting good latency on real IP but as long as I'm not browsing the internet while playing.

I've had real IP for two years with VISP. it used to be free.

Server latency: 66 ms
but if I open lebgeeks, it jumps to 300s while lebgeeks loads. maybe 800 sometimes.

if my game is the only thing running, I can get 60 to 80 latency. (at 3:30AM)

Server latency: 57 ms (at 4:11 AM)

I tried calling my reseller today but he barely turns on his phone

it's stable throught the day. but don't open anything else. close all your browser windows.
I do my heavy downloading before 4PM then play from 4PM till after midnight and I get 57 to 80ms latency.

We are running on a 3gbps backup link , IMEWE has been cut somewhere in Egypt , going to be like this for some days until it's fixed , most of the country now is without internet even DSL

even if the ports are opened, the ping will be in the thousands

10000 ms latency is ok. I have real life friends whom I can only communicate with through my online game.
