In terms of competitive online gaming, Ogero provides the best connection for that. This is because they have the lowest ping times (<150 ms) since they're connected directly to the international backbone. And yes, they definitely have much lower ping times than those of all of the other ISPs.
I've stuck with IDM because I've never had any major issue with them. On the contrary, their support resolved my issues directly on the telephone line with no hassle at all. Plus, they do provide the double speed unlimited nights which is great and very important for me.
For the ping times with IDM, its very weird. When I try to assess the ping times using
www.speedtest.net, I get an average of 450-550 ms on the Paris servers. However, when I'm connecting for a game in MW2 on my PS3, I connect to games with <140 ms, which is very contradictory. My guess is that they prioritize online gaming to special connections (I'm not sure about that but I did read about something like that last year on some site).
IDM connection is not bad for online gaming. The games are playable and fun but if you're looking to be more competitive, I'd suggest you go with Ogero for that matter.
