  • ADSL Latency Questions -Please Help Me- Desperate For Online Gaming!

Okay, first, hi guys, it's been a while since I've been here.

Anyway, ADSL hasn't arrived in Khaldeh yet (does anyone have any idea when it will) but when it does, my dad is planning on getting the 512 plan or the 1 MB plan, for me, I just want to know, would the 1 MB plan have lower latency than the 512 plan since it has faster speeds?

Also, I need for someone with ADSL (I prefer from IDM, but any other ISP works also) to do a traceroute to www.google.com and to www.bbc.co.uk and to ping both of those websites as well. Thanks.

@duckster: i will test this next week but as I said in another topic.. the download was always stable at 16KB/s and sometimes it jumps to 22KB/s (ya3neh 100% w aktar be shwei)

and the upload is 6-7KB/s if anyone is intrested.

I would install DSL in a heartbeat if there was more GBs to exploit :P this is the only setback... msn video/voice/skype/googletalk works PERFECTLY
May you ping both of the servers when you get the time flyingwizard? I just want to see the package loss, thanks again.

Okay, ADSL is going to take more than 2 months to arrive in my area, so for now, I'm going to get VISP wireless, the middle plan. Has anyone tried it? What latencies do you get to America and Europe (out of curiosity, I'd probably be playing on the game servers anyway) :P

On IDM's u can clearly see - that they use upload "terresterial" , and download - satellite.
So the latency to Europe is only 90 ms? Would I be geting latencies like that with the wireless?

We called the otherday and they said we need to wait for next year then we can call back. We'll probably call around Jan 1st- Jan 2nd :P

Do we need to have 3 people in our building to apply though?

Halo, better if i will check base, which you will use. Please send me in PM your area location, i will check which base there and condition of that base.
Maybe you can do trial of our connection in our internet cafe (called V-ZONE).
