Which one should I get ?
I'm not much of a PC gamer ( more of a console gamer ), and my PC useage mainly consists of internet, and Jedi Knight 2 ( a very, very old game, but the online multiplayer in it is bad ass ).
So the deal is, I really would like to play Generals, Rome Total War, Medieval 2 Total War, with the latter being the most graphically demanding.
I have a PIV 3.2, with 1GB ram kingston, and my "vga" is the built in graphics card in the 965 motherboard. It can run generals fine on high settings, but when it comes to RTW, it's performance is mediocre ( practically my PC is with no real VGA ).
Now, 8500 is newer, and from what I gathered, it's specifically engineered for DX10 and vista, but the thing is the games I want to play are relatively old, and might be incompatible with GFX cards specialized for DX10.
Which card do you folks think i should get ?
Cheers.

Now, when checking this forum, I saw Rolf's thread (
http://www.lebgeeks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=4632 ) about EVGA geForce 7600 GT.
Which one would you recommend me to get ?
And would the 8500 GT be incompatible or not 100% compatible with older DX9.0 games like Rome Total War, Medieval 2 Total War, LOTR Battle of the Middle Earth, etc.
Cheers.
