Hey guys
after i got my laptop i found that a good way for setting up things is by usin vmware
(an uber-geek recomended)
i have the default toshiba xp home edition an antivirus and vmware :)
i am still in play and test how everything works stage
i have ubuntu, a xp pro
but just a few mins ago i managed to mess things up
my xp ain't workin no more
i was wonderin who has been usin vmware
i want ur feedback
do u use it as test
any known issues?
Any advice?
Are there any issues with ubuntu 6.10
cuz i can setup an older version
but not 6.10
Padre
with vmware ? no
it's the mother of al testing platforms :P
i used to have a image of a clean windows/linux (Red Hat and FC4)
used to run all kind of worms/malware in sandboxing env and then restore OS to original state.
if you have the resources...the way to go :)

yes .. :D vmware is great for testing
the only thing is that it needs ressources :( .. but still it is great for testing
specially that you get the snapshot manager :D
and you can have your OSs and everything backed up with your VM Folder :D
and it is safe to play.. you don't have to worry about messing completely ur OSs and not being able to boot back
there are hundred stuff u can do with vmware .. it is lovely
the only bad side is that of ressources :( .. i only have 512 MB on my Toshiba :D
hope soon upgrade to 2GB
if you need the latest version , let me know .. tho i am sure you already have it / can get the crak :D
