I will try to run now D-Link DWL-G122 Rev C1 (Revision important!)
Something cheap... USB... chipset supported in highly beta stage, last time when i run it - it did kernel panic.
Chipset Ralink 2400/2500.

By the way ZyDAS based USB wireless more well supported. I run one of them in Moscow, but i dont have idea about name and manufacturer.

I bought a trendnet tew423pi from compuworld (the cheapest) and had to change it because the connection kept being dropped all the time and i had to restart (disable then enable) the connection in "network connections" (i'm speaking windows 2000 here) for it to work again. This card sucks. I had to get a more expensive model (trendnet mimo something), and now it works.... in windows 2000 :D
sorry, cant help you for linux.
