Hi, it’s been a long time that I didn’t post in lebgeeks.
After 2 years of experience in developing web applications and working in a leader company as cre8mania
http://www.cre8mania.com , especially using php and mysql, javascript css , as flash and action script.
I just like to announce for those who really like to help on a huge 1 year project that I’m developing, plz check this site for further informations
http://www.zahhar.com i. It’s a simple vanilla forum, not that much important. I’m using it to post all the developing process of the new E-learning Solution application Lebanon 2007.
mir
well good luck Managing the project :D
lookin forward to take a look at the UML Use Case Scenario :D
I hope some members get involved in the project
as for me i am too busy in my work :D
still .. i will take a look from time to time on the progress :D

You're teaching web-based courses? How is that going to compete with the wealth of information and tutorials available on the net? My advice, go for human contact!
PS: your redirection code does not work in all browser :)
fnzahar
the e-learning solution is not for web-based courses, it's for official academic brevet year... I will make a training for the developers who are interested to join the team of development... there are project objectives, need to complete.
thanks for telling me about the javascript code. i did it fast, i will see an alternative if i could use the header of php code or the cpanel redirect section.

I would help you but I am a .NET Developer!
fnzahar
Even if you are a .net developer, as long u do have the knoledge in developing web sites and using oop concept, u will learn fast a second language.
if i was you, i don't tell anyone that i'm a specific developer, i'm a programmer and web solutions developer, i can develop in any language even that i don't have experiance with it.
samer
fnzahar: what about a 302 redirection?

Things don't work like that, if you know microsoft .NET technology you will realise that it introduces lots of features that are just overwhelming to master all, so you tend to specialise as a Web Developer, Windows Developers, Distributed Application, SQL Server 2005 DBA. This was made clear by Microsft new certification like MCTS and MCPD.
With the introduction of Ajax for ASP.NET known as Atlas and Windows expressions for web designers you will tend to stick with microsoft technologies.
fnzahar
I do prefare Open source technologies, and build my own concept.
No need to be a folower if i can be a leader.
Policy concept :)
mir
well.. u did put the use case scenario
but u posted "This is the link."
and no link is really posted
so maybe it is mistake..maybe on purpose
just wanted to point that :D
fnzahar
yes, sure, it ain't a mistake, but i just don't have the access of the ftp here at my work, the username and password is on my portable at home, so it won't be uploaded before midnight, sorry, i will try my best to know the password :)
mir
hahahahahhaha
and copy paste the link in the browser (i actually pressed go to url in opera) .. anyway.. the link is invalid. Page Not Found
so you may want to check that
battikh
it seems that the link is
http://www.zahhar.com/uml/E-Learning.htm (.htm, not .html)
fnzahar
yes, true, it's htm and not html, thanks batikh, as for mir, plz be more serious. usually we all help each others for improvment and not just to criticise.
Usualy i thought that using a light forum will help modem users to access easily. but it seems, using such technologie, even a link to a page, is hard to make:) i will improve the forum later. the important thing is the objective of the main solution.
mir
well... looks like it is a limitation from Vanilla :D
try out the SMF forums (simple machine forums)
anyway..sorry for the comment.. but couldn't help it
anyway.. i looked at the use case
everything seems in order
but couple of small questions :
about the login and register
u should be registered to make a login
i think that goes in the pre-conditions when writing the sequence diagram
anyway.. it is too obvious
The student enrolls for free ? aren't there any charges ? so a payement ?
keep up the good work :D
oh! and another small thing..u made a list of the diagram (use case, activity, sequence, collaboration, statechart)
u forgot the class diagram :D (one of the most important ones :D)
fnzahar
True Mir, class diagrams is what all diagrams are made for, it's the result of all the hard work, to create the classes that they will be translated into any OOP language.
that's why, i will post about it in details when i do all the first diagrams.
i do know about Simple Forum Machine because I use it on a lot of projects. but i just was curios to try the vanilla forum, and too bad sometimes curiosity will lead u to dead ends:).
Ain't the end of the world, i could fix that soon, but i need time:P
mir
ah ok :D
well. nah..u need something simple as it is for the team mainly
well.. u always have to try new things.. or life will get really boring :P
yala..what would the next step be ?
fnzahar
The next step is also a use case or a sub use case of the sub system called EZ-Quiz.
This system work as email exchange but specified for Students as Teachers communication.
It's an important software, i will create it as web based application, and windows application using Java 2.0.
My team, is preparing their selfs by studying the DVD's i bought... for multimedia and web development.
January is the month of preparations... as i'm analysing the system in UML...
February will be the big start :)
mir
Java 2.0 :P

that is intresting :D
well.. i never worked with Java 2.0 , i know java.. but no actual work experience with it
so.. i was thinking.. that maybe..i can help u with small limited tasks from time to time :D
or more complex ones (never know my future schedule)
the only problem is my schedule
fnzahar
Mir, you are welcome anytime, till now the solution will be made with an effort of benevole and students.
so it's kind an open source team workout.
why u don't feel free and register your self on the vanilla forum, as u are welcome to post comments on any section you like.
