OK to tell u excatly what happened before this epidemy started:
after i followed ur instructions about the DNS thingy, everything was working fine on both PCs, no GDS timeout, but, I had to shut down the Knetwork manager which was not letting me enable my 2 network cards, it only allowed one.(check the image below)
in this image, if u click on one network card, the other is disabled and vice versa. and clicking Quit does not finish the job :D
so I shut it down with:
# sudo ifdown eth0
# sudo ifup eth0
Check this:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?t=447221
and everything worked like a charm.
Then, my bro accidentally Re-launched the Knetwork manager, so i tried to close it with the same command i but it did not work, but figured out a way to shut it down with YAST. and from that moment, the GDS started to pop up every now and then.
now a guy on tomshardware.com gave me this advice
http://forumz.tomshardware.com/software/internet-sharing-SUSE-WinXP-ftopict231527.html , using Firestarter, but i dont know if it would work and actually i'm afraid of trying it at the moment with all the problems i'm facing, my priority is still Photoshop CS2 and Dreamweaver (coz the Linux softwares do not meet my reqs.)
Sorry for all the questions and trouble about that issue but hey, u have 3 more Linux users :D
