I sold mine, and i paid $300 more to get this PC, tell me what you think about it:
AMD 3000+ 64Bit 939PIN 1GHz/640K
MSI K8N Neo4-F w/Sound+1GB Lan
Corsair VS1GBKIT400 1GB ( 2 x 512MB ) PC-3200 DDR-400MHz Dual Channel Kit ( CL 2.5-Lifetime Warranty )
Western Digital 200GB 7200RPM S-ATA
Pioneer DVR-110D 16X DVDRW - Dual Layer
Inno3D Geforce PCX 6600 256MB w/TV
Teac Floppy Drive 1.44 3.5"
PSU 550W Dual Fan
FULL ATX case
I know I could have gotten a better one if i threw in a couple more $100 but i chose this motherboard because i know it supports the new X2 / FX AMD CPUs so i can get a better processor this summer.
Other than that, this PC will get me through the majority of the upoming games and the newly released ones like Battle for Middle Earth II and of course... my WoW will run at high details :P

well the price is good for parts in this country
the switch to amd is very good although i am waiting to see the difference between intel's conroe and amd's m2 socket
in the other hand i would have preffered a sli mb
the rams are great
hard disk too
you have the same dvd i have and it is a good choice
as for the graphic card i would have gone a bit higher
the psu has good wattage unless it is a generic one but i think for this rig is more than enough
we need pics of the case
all in all for the money you spent you got bangs for bucks
what kind of monitor are you using
run a couple of benchmarks to rate your rig it will put things in perspective
mabrouk hope you enjoy your new pc

Well, i did pay for my PC and i expect the shipment on wednesday/thursday because PCandPARTS said they had lots of orders and needed some days to get it all assembled and shipped
I will post pictures as soon as I get it.
I currently have an Acer 17'' V771 that im willing to change sometime next month for an Acer AL 1717SM 17" TFT LCD screen but I heard from many people that CRTs are still the best choice for gaming because for a reason, some LCDs wont be able to handle fast pixels rotation when high details are used.
I know this is for high-end gaming PCs but I dont feel the "need" to have an LCD.
I'm sorry if my first post gave the expression of owning the PC already but I was just letting my thoughts go and hoping it would be an awesome change.
I have plans for the future as in upgrading that PC, but my budget is very very limited as of late, but nevertheless here are what i might be going after:
AMD 4200+ X2 64Bit 939PIN 1GHz/1024K (when its price drop down of course :P )
GeForce 7800GT (kamena when it reaches the $250 bar)
Corsair XMS TWINX2048-3200C2PT 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC-3200 DDR-400MHz Dual Channel Kit
ThermalTake case with watercooling system (gotta start saving boys :D )
I know I should have chosen an SLI board, but i believe this one will be good enough to run me a couple more years , but at the moment, isnt that PC a little bit above the average ? :)
What benchmark tests do you suggest me to run Karim once i recieve it ?
I'd like to hear your opinion,
Thanks for replying

try something from futuremark
try the 05 and 06
some say 06 is abit biased downplaying graphic for cpu
i use cutom pc's benchmark they issue once a year it is pretty intensive
take the result and compare it with simalar pc to see where you can improve
rolf
Yeah that looks good :D looks great actually.
I just hope the dual fan PSU is not of the noisy type.
rolf
For the lcd let me recommend you benq 19" it is pretty cheap and it is the only one in that price range with something like 4ms latency, which means no pixel rotation problems.
I bought one from pcandparts, build quality and looks are great, nothing to say about the image quality either.
It also has both dvi and analog inputs and speakers. I had done a reasearch on the web before buying it and this lcd seems to be the best deal.

I was expecting rolf's reply :P
Sadly, NO ROLF, NO this is not your dream PC for overcloking :D
but... i think i'll have to get you to overclok this CPU when i get bored with it ;)
about the monitor, i'm not too bothered with mine actually but i will think about it
rolf
3000+ can be overclocked to about 3500 i think...
toxic
i want to ask
you took ur pc to pandparts and told them you want to upgrade or change parts of ur old pc to this new one by paying 300$ or how does this thing work
WizaRd
no i sold my pc by putting a free ad on their website...
i sold it for $435 and i payed like $350 more in order to have the $785 that i paid for my new pc :D
