LebGeeks is Shutting Down

After 22 years, the time has come to shutdown LebGeeks.

Platform activity has declined steadily over the past few years and my own involvement has been limited to moderation and keeping the server up.

On October 1st 2026, the forum will go read-only and will stay up for a few more weeks.

When I started LebGeeks, I was a teenager hoping to meet likeminded techies in Lebanon. This community opened numerous doors for me and allowed me to meet truly amazing people. For that, I am eternally grateful.

A special shoutout to those of you who have stuck around for the final years: rolf, xterm, joe, kareem_nasser, elchebib, beezer, nuclearcat, M03, ReadMe, supra, Guitaret, Pugan, m_zeid, Padre, ahk40a and those of you I have forgotten to mention.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to discussions, shared knowledge, or simply hung out here over the past two decades.

I'll leave you with a haiku:

Servers power down,
Our connections still endure,
Always evergreen.

This makes me sadder than I anticipated.

LebGeeks has been a very important part of my life too during some of my most formative years. I've made friends,, I've learned to program, I've used more BBCode than anyone should be allowed to.

This place taught me to write, to argue, to ~~listen~~ read, to goof off.

This place taught me how to internet.

I'm too sad to write for now. I have until the end of the month to come up with fun stuff.
