  • Seeking Advice on International E-Commerce Payments from Lebanon

  • Edited
Hello everyone, how are you?

Does anyone have experience with international payments in e-commerce?

I run an online business in Lebanon using cash on delivery, but I want to expand my services to the UAE.
The problem is that all online payment gateways like PayPal and Stripe are banned in Lebanon.

I've contacted various payment gateways about integrating with Shopify (like MontyPay and Areeba), but they all require me to have a company and a "ra2em mele."

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just register the company and pay your taxes
be legal, its worth it if you're expanding
maybe try with cash on delivery before online payment, there is companies that lets you import products from alibaba(not yours), store it, then deliver, takes their fees and gives you your profit. You just do the promotions. But there the COD is different for example like out of 100 who ordered(filled their names and phone numbers) on average 50% they will confirm the order once the call center calls them to confirm the order, and out of those 50 only 50% will be delivered to them, so thats only 25 delivered out of the supposed 100 purchases. Thats the average in all gulf countries and even less. This space (gulf cod) is filled with kids selling cheap products with overpromising ads, it is a race to the bottom. bcsit only works if you find a very cheap and light products to import, and then you need to do get very cheap cost per purchase like $1. nothing cool about it, so so scammy.
