I have been offered a job opportunity in KSA and i want your opinion if i take it or not.
The job is challenging and has a good career path.
We are very lucky that currently, in Lebanon, my wife and I are both getting paid in USD as fresh money.
So we don't have any problem withdrawing money from banks. Also inflation and lira devaluation did not effect us (in fact we benefited as some expenses in LBP are costing 60% less, like my housing loan).
Back to the job offer, the salary is twice the salary my wife and I make in Lebanon combined.
In a normal situation i would have rejected the offer due to many reasons (our current jobs are stable with good career, living style, family, friends....)
However i am afraid that the situation in Lebanon escalates (where it's no longer safe to live, like venezuela or worse)
What's your opinion, would you take the offer and leave?
The situation will be worse here , Lebanon economy will not recover any time soon. I do not know your company or job sector , but the private sector here is highly volatile to the economic conditions. You are getting paid now in fresh USD , but after 1 or 2 years will your firm situation be the same and be able to tolerate more losses.
Back to KSA , I lived there for five consecutive years in Jeddah. Frankly, I couldn't tolerate living there and came back. High temperatues , too many life restrictions , and tough mentalities were the primary reasons that made be back. If I am in your shoes , I will go for a Canadian Visa Express Entry for Skilled workers. Canada is a whole different world vs the Gulf. I got the PA two years ago.
