I do agree with you, but what's the point since the meeting itself isn't really considered private, and you don't need to create an account to join a zoom call? (Just a simple VPN + Zoom's website)
I am also against Zoom, but the meeting app selection should be the next step not this one
Also regarding fasting, what do you think is an adequate time to meet up? Sorry I don't think I (and perhaps Samer) can put ourselves in your shoes regarding the timeframe available. Perhaps give us an idea on when people fasting would enjoy meeting up? (I have completely no knowledge into this whatsoever, would be nice to know for future planning as well)
You need to register at Zoom and provide your private data (at least email, probably more). Also when you will establish call, most likely it uses WebRTC in browser. You can read, how much "extra" info it provides about you.
IMO it should be first step, because as i mentioned - if it is a video app, then it is pointless to assign meeting at evening, as many people might suffer with connection. If it is voice or chat meeting - it is less relevant.
And i see as pointless to vote, as polling specify already zoom as it's "decision done". I basically do not participate in meetings where conditions are set such way that they are not comfortable for me + i do not see that this is a reasonable decision or the decision of the majority.
Regarding fasting, it's definitely better if someone who is more familiar with subject will voice his opinion and tell if i am wrong or not. I voiced mine as i have some experience at managing mixed team, where some members are fasting. But dont exclude i am wrong.
My opinion i voiced before - or after iftar or morning.
