  • Paying with Lebanese cards online

hey guys!
I want to ask if anyone tried his lebanese card assuming it has international limit at Newegg and BestBuy.
Would it work?
As far as I know, all cards have 0 international usage now except for local sites who accept LBP. Only fresh money cards have no restrictions (except for stuff like crypto)
yes i was referring to fresh cards...
I don't wanna load it, end up not being accepted by newegg or amazon or bestbuy and then have my money hostage in our lovely, caring banks.
if it's fresh money you can withdraw it, it's not gonna be held hostage.
Lebanese cards work with amazon. No idea about newegg.com, but newegg.ca doesn't work with lebanese cards
lebanese cards don't work on bestbuy as far as I know, no idea about newegg
Tried buying from newegg US 2 years ago, they reject Lebanese cards. Amazon works.

LGB Bank
SGBL is now $20 on debit cards and esurf
I saw an ad on Facebook from OMT, they started issuing prepaid cards.
Hey, i went to and found out the following:
Limit is 1,000$ and 1,500,000L.L
or 10,000$ and 15,000,000L.L
The lbp and usd balances are separated
Reload limit per day is 1000$ for the 1000$ card and 5000$ for the 10000$ card and the reload fees are 1usd for usd balance and 2000 for lbp balance through omt and 2usd and 4000 lbp respectively through blom atm and cash withdrawal at OMT is 2usd for usd balance and 4000 for lbp balance and its the same at blom atm and internationally 3.75$ +0.5%.and all foreign exchange markup fees are 4% and 2% for international dollar transaction(online) and the card anual fee is 15$ anually and valid for 3 years and after expiry the monthly fee is 10$ or lbp equivalent
From what i know you just fill a form at any omt office and after first approval you go to a blom bank location to sign a kyc form(Know Your Customer) and after a total of 5 days you get the visa card

Seems like Omt is trying to screw people.
Just get the blom mini plus.
Its 5$ cheaper, and free topup, free withdraw.
the limits are smaller i believe, double check.
can i get money transferred to it online, like cashing out from binance or any other website that sends money by card?
i guess, not sure.
I did few years ago, i cashed out a few dollars from ads.
But that was a long time ago.
i'm not even sure if the bank knows if you can, they just know the 'usual' stuff, as usual

Why don't they make it 1 USD per month while they're at it so you can just say you have a card but you cannot use it ?
Situation is unbelievable, banks are unbelievable.
Audi Embark card price has been increased from 20$/year to a whopping 50$/year.

I'm paying 50$/year in order to be able to buy 25$/month...
