Right now? No it's not. The price didn't change mid crisis. This is supposed to be business grade internet as well. I don't think you have a need for it if you don't work from home and you can manage by bonding 2 cheap connections.zizo99 wrotestill 12mb for 300000LBP/month is a very low speed for that price tag

Connecting to netherlands works
note that there's extreme weather conditions outside and distance between microwave station and receiver is 10KM otherwise it would be the full 12.

I have been saying this for months. Something is wrong with lebanese internet, I can show routes to the UK with less ping than routes to france which makes me wonder if these companies have external sources for bandwidth that does not pass by ogero.
what vpn provider is this ?RandomMemory wroteConnecting to netherlands works

Any idea if I have to pay the installation fee if I already have the hardware?Kareem wroteI think I'm going to try the WDSL thing.
I called them and I guess it's a good deal ( compared to Lebanon of course )
- 12Mb/s symmetrical up/down
- No FUP
- No quota
- 270,000 LL + VAT
- 300,000 LL installation
- One real static IP ( yup )
- No speed higher than 12mbps.
- No IPv6
I currently have a microwave connection from a private reseller, and he is subscribed to Connect I think.
Anw i have the antenna on the roof and all the cabling from the roof to my home router already setup which I bought myself when I subscribed to his connection.
I currently have 8mbits plan with 9GB daily quota (was 10GB but he reduced it to 9GB with no warning saying that its Connect who change the plans) and unlimited night traffic from 12-6AM for 135,000 LL.
Actual download speed is around 800 KB/s but sometimes (rarely) goes up to 1700 KB/s for no reason and upload is 400 KB/s most of the time but also goes up to 1700 KB/s sometimes.
My problem with it is that it is too unreliable. Complete cut offs can happen 5-10 times every month and last from a few minutes to sometimes several hours. I am thinking of switching to a MW connection directly from an ISP as the guy is clueless to what is happening most of the time.
btw installation fees are $300 freshEarthmaster wroteAny idea if I have to pay the installation fee if I already have the hardware?Kareem wroteI think I'm going to try the WDSL thing.

You can't use your own mikrotik, it also depends on your location, they might have to install 2 mikrotiks, one on your end and the other on the base station to amplify the signal in your direction

There's a service outage right now. Called and they said they're working on it.
