bobo619 To put it plainly for you guys Asus modems has to best features in any modem i have used. I have been using the N12 for the past 2 years i will post some screenshots: https://ibb.co/DM0Yjr1 https://ibb.co/m0YNvd1 Do note that i live approx. 1.2km away from CO on sodetel open speed,, have cat6 from building box to modem.
dg-1618 I bought this modem from Pc And Parts about 2 weeks ago. It has VDSL2 and IPTV options so it's a rather cheap (compared to other modems) future-proof modem and should still be good when/if those options are released in Lebanon. There's one thing I don't like about it: In the DSL Log page (where it shows DSL connection parameters) you can see SNR, Attenuation,CRC errors and Interleave Depth (if any)... but it doesn't show HEC, FEC errors and Loss of Sync/Framing/Signal/Power, etc... On a lighter note, the attenuation is a few dB higher (5 or 6dB) compared to the old Thomson TG 585 v7. Ping and SNR (down/up) are about the same as the TG 585 v7. The good thing about it is you can lower the max sync speed (for an increase in SNR down and also stability) in case you are on the open speed plan for example. Make sure you update the firmware if you decide to buy this modem.
