I am planning on setting up a small home lab, but I'm having trouble finding the equipment. Racks and switches are everywhere, but I can't seem to find decent used servers. Looking for something like a Dell R610/R710 (I did find several used xeon towers, but I'm only looking for rackmount servers)
Does anyone know of any shop that sells such hardware? Or of any company that is getting rid of their old servers?
It seems like I will have to order one from overseas... But surely old servers that are discarded by businesses/schools/hospitals/etc have to end up somewhere, but where?
Any information is appreciated.
