ManOwaRR wroteBattlefield 1 sucks when using dx12 and V sucks as well since it's the same engine and game reskined as bf V , however lets wait and see if Dice can fix their dx12 implementation
Tech Guru Mate , give credit where credit is due don't follow tech blindly , RTX 2080 Ti is an overpriced card with no real use at the moment , while i love tech a lot and i dont mind wasting money on some piece of junk hardware , still i would agree with everyone here about RTX 2080 TI being an overpriced card made to milk people and nothing really special about it .
Overpriced means money matters in your purchase decisions. I like to enjoy tech and this 30% increase in traditional reasterization will help me to have a move enjoyable expereince at 2160p. Still DLSS and RT are not tested to give a final judgement about turing from a 2 months lunch date. Any new technology needs time to mature , and turing set a baseline for hybrid rendering techniques exposing developers to a new horizon of graphics.
I am not a blind tech follower who have his purchase decisions based on "reviews , tech channels etc.." I witnessed what the 1080ti capable of at 2160p60 and 3440×1440p100 in a high rig setup ,it simply did not satisfy my gaming expereince with dips here and there + HDR latency and stutter on HDR enabled games. A blind tech follower is a person who ride the hype wagon with no previous gen vs new gen gaming expreince leverage. If you gaming needs are not like mine a 1080ti meets them , it is fine too.

Have you watched the Digital Foundry -Hitman 2 Tech Analysis on their full scene screen space reflection technique implemented by IO Interactive - it is almost like they implement RT for environmemt , save a copy of it , trun it off then decorate with environment and then merge the two rendered scene ( more taxing on the graphic card sure) to actually look that RT in on. I would say this game is a best example way RT adds a new level of realsim and awesome to have. Yes they implemented planar reflections by they are only "one steep deep" and yet it looks awesome in Hitman 2. Meaning that they cannot contain any transparency or other reflections to them. RT could enhance that too much. Take for example the scene in the house with the huge screen playing the video , the forsted glass , and tons of reflective surfaces could look awesome with RT.
Just give any new archiecture some time , and based on traditional rasterization the
2070 beats the 1080
2080 beats the 1080ti
2080ti is the 4k 60fps king
Gap will increase with more drivers along the road aside to better HDR latency performance that Pascal sucked at.
People had no problems with a 5% faster Titan xp @ $1200 that was almost double the price of the 1080ti at $650. I saw quite a few Star wars themed ones on here when they were the new shi... Now you got a card that beats the ti by 30%? Same price as the xp , prices will drop gradually and it's a POS.
EVGA RTX 2080ti Black Ed. is for USD 999 now

The new cards are not made to give you 300 fps on 4k. It is made to make ray tracing possible on a 1200 card, instead of 68,000$.
To be fair the RTX 2080ti is the only decent 2160p card. Also, the stocks are being depleted very fast due to its high demand.
