Hello fellow geeks,

I bought the Cougar Armor S gaming chair back in December 2017 and I have been using it on a daily basis ever since.
It's still in excellent condition and perfectly clean. However, while recently browsing the net, I noticed that some websites mention using a moisturizer once every 6 months or so to help prevent leather cracks and extend its life.

Anyone here has any experience with this ? if so, where do you purchase your moisturizer and what type do you use (water based, etc...) ?
how's your experience with it, compared to dxracer. It seems cheaper by 80$ or so and im looking to buy a dxracer.
Good overall. This was my first gaming chair so it took some time to get used to sitting in it. No squeaking so far.

Two things worth nothing:
1) The lumbar pillow was protruding way too much for my taste and so my upper back wasn't even touching the chair. I just took the pillow off.
2) It took the guy from Macrotronics 30 mins just to assemble / screw in the backseat to the base (where you sit). Side welded parts/levers were just too far out (angle wise) for the screws to go into their place. I had to help him and we had to force it somehow.

One other thing... when I bought it from Macrotronics back in December 2017, it was priced at 352 USD (VAT and delivery included). A few months later prices dropped a lot. So I kind of got screwed a bit.
I use a spray (foamy) I bought for my car's interior, works on any leather. Try something similar.
Don't overdo it, especially with cheap, chemical products. Some leather products make the leather supple but in the long run they dry it out.
Leather does not like water. I would try to put some mild, natural, wax-like protection. It also does not like strong sunlight.
Water, extreme sunlight or heat will dry out the leather.

It is a PVC Leather mimick not real leather , simply use a dry cloth and dip with a small amount of water. I have maintaining thd DX Boss Series Chair like that - clean and no issues at all.
Or you can do like me and put some sort of cloth on it (both on the chair and on the back) , and sit on the cloth instead of the material of the chair itself.
I've had my chair for 2-3 years now, and I've had a cloth on it since day 1, if you look at it now, it's just like a brand new chair.
Thanks all for the replies.
Yes I have a piece of cloth covering the base (where I sit)... but there's nothing on the back as I am always wearing a shirt so there is no direct skin contact there.
