  • macOS (hackintosh) Sierra compatible laptop WiFi cards in Lebanon?

I have recently installed macOS Sierra on an HP Pavilion 15-E053SE, so far everything is working great. Graphics, Brightness Controls, Keyboard, Trackpad including smooth scrolling and tap to click, can't think of anything else that didn't workout of the box except for the Ethernet and WiFi card. I am not annoyed ethernet didn't work since the port itself has gone bad since I got this laptop. But man do I want a natively supported WiFi card for it since I am using an external USB WiFi card which is really messing up with sleep/wake

How long did it take you to get it working? I have an HP laptop and read that it can be Hackintoshed but I have always been put off by the hacky nature of the hack.
I most likely will not do it.
Regarding your question I don't have an answer unfortunately but just want to point out that in my laptop the wifi module is "whitelisted" in the BIOS (from what I read) so if I want to replace it then I have to modify the BIOS and maybe use something like coreboot and SeaBIOS. So I would recommend that you double check before trying to replace the wifi module.
I checked with HP's forums and the model of laptop in question has no whitelist as long as it is an Intel model(which it is). As for how hard was It to get it running, it is just a matter of knowing what kexts(kernel extensions) to use, and being familiar enough with BASH and having a bit of knowledge in programming. The hardest part was getting the DSDT patched to be honest as you have to first guess what works on you model. I am now posting from the laptop in question ;-)(I am using an external USB WiFi adapter to be fair).
It is fairly easy as long as you know what you are doing. I will recommend a "Vanilla" install where you add your own kexts and patch the DSDT and generate your SSDT. You might want to have at least a macOS VM with something recent to make a macOS installer.
r/hackintosh on reddit and google will be your friends during this journey
If you are building a hackintosh the first you will do is look at tonymacx86, not saying they are horrible, but you do sometimes need their kexts even if you are trying to avoid their tools as much as possible. Also I am looking if someone here sells something from their list of compatible cards.
