So the 1180 is slightly faster than the 1080ti ; 13 Tflops Vs 11.3 Tflops. Will the 1180 run the following 2017 Titles :

Watch Dogs 2 Ultra wih PCSS or HFTS ,with SMAA at a locked 60 Fps / 2160 -I Doubt ?

Ghost Recon Wilds Lands locked 60 fps / 2160p Ultra - I Doubt

Mass Effect Andromeda - Ultra 2160p 60Fps -I doubt.

I will stick with the 1080ti OC and upgrade when the next 1180ti. Sure AMD is out of the equation - "Catch Me A Year Later Performance " ??

The Asus PG 27uq will be released soon ( 2160p Quantum Dot / VA , native 10bit panel with FALD for proper HDR , 144hz Gsync 2 , 4 4 2 - Through DP 1.4. Still 144hz on 2160p is way away to hit if you do not want to compromise on the IQ.

The PG 35vq is 21:9 version - 3440 × 1440p , native 10bit panel with FALD for proper HDR , 200hz Gsync 2 .

These are only speculation and rumors, I would take them with a grain of salt.

This.

They haven't based this even on a single source, just their own speculation, heck... even the July release date is pure speculation(guessed from GDDR6 mass production dates). I do hope it happens as it's been almost 2 years since GTX 1080/1070 was announced, which if I'm not mistaken would be the longest gap between 2 generation releases so far.

Hopefully there will be any proper leak or some information from Nvidia about new cards next month, or perhaps they'll announce something during Computex or surprise us earlier with their own event( which is usually how they announce their new
generation mainstream gaming cards).
A norm that never failed me ti with ti always , and catching phrases like destroying are exaggerated , if you scroll the web all reports ( not Wccftech only) say that 1180 will have 13 Tflops + 16Gpbs (GDDR6) on 256 bit bus width compared to 11Gbps on 352 bit bus width on 1080ti making the memory bandwidth of 512 Gb /sec on 1180 vs 484 Gb /sec on the 1080ti not that leap too in total memory transfer rates.

From this a 30 % increase is highly doubtful and "destroying" the 1080ti is amplified ... a 15 - 20 % increase in performance max is more logical and not worth the upgrade at all.

They might be speculations yes , but the numebers are belieavable.
TFLOPS is not a clear indication for gaming performance, RX Vega 64 has around 13.2 TFLOPS and still can't bypass the GTX1080 in gaming performance, lets wait and see

Yeah exactly!

I've been told by an acquiantance who works with a distant Nvidia partner that they've been testing their upcoming platform prototypes and "it's a significant jump, bigger than 9XX => 10XX". I think everyone who bought a 1080ti should be having buyer's remorse as the lower tier 11XX/20XX chips may overtake the 1080ti in performance for a fraction of the cost.
Remorse my @ss lol, anyone that keeps waiting for the next “better” generation will never buy anything (and it applies on everything like cars, tv, smartphones etc ...), you simply buy what you can afford at the moment and enjoy.
Not to mention that all the news and numbers fall under rumors and speculations at the moment.
Personally I prefer that the new cards will have less TFLOPS compared to the previous generation but with better gaming performance, not sure if this possible scientifically but this will keep the Miners from getting them
The craze over mining cooled down a bit, cards are gradually getting back in stock, Amazon has many high end models available in stock for weeks from now, even on OLX there is huge wave of used GFX cards being sold by miners and mining rigs as well.
It is a matter of time stocks and prices will be back to normal.
