So i am finally upgrading my pc after a very long time of no gaming, all went smooth but the monitor choice is giving me a headache.
I play FPS games only and i am not sure if i wanna get a 1080P 144hz (samsung cfg70) or a 4K monitor (LG 24UD58) or any other choice really budget is 430$ max
If i choose the 4K it must display 1080p without any loss in quality, if i loose 1080p fidelity its not an option.
please i need your opinions, thank you all

I personally prefer 1080p over 4K any day of the week. Simply because you need less GPU power to output higher FPS, especially when you have Gsync/Freesync enabled.
To get the same amount of FPS through a 4K, you need a hell of a lot of GPU power to play smoothly and comfortably without the loss of FPS.
The LG monitor is capped at 60hz with 5ms response time, not ideal for FPS games.
If you HAD to choose between those two, for sure, id go for the 1080p Samsung.
I'd also consider a BenQ 144hz monitor for around $400.

A month ago my brother and I made an upgrade from 60 Hz to 144 Hz 1080p, and man the difference is amazing, never going back to the 60 hz shit.
In my case, my brother and I play competitive FPS games online, mainly Rainbow six siege and some Battlefield ... and I would choose 144 fps on 1080p over the 60 Fps (if you can pull a steady 60 fps) on 4k ...
I got the Samsung SHG50 while my brother got the HP Omen (don't remember the model), both 24.5 inches and we were both satisfied with the quality and performance of these monitors.

1080p is an old resolution and an obsolete to me , I will stick with 2160p HDR Gaming on the a Campatible HDR TV - Sony X930e and grab the Asus PG 27uq when it is releasesd - 2160p , 144hz and Gsync with HDR.
